Listening to the TAPE

The tapes were just released from the cockpit of the flight that landed in the Hudson River recently. Two things: Captain Sully is the jam and the air traffic controller should get a HUGE BONUS. Maybe we could send him to the Wynn for 12 days? Anyway, it's amazing to listen to...(go to MSNBC to check it out) Captain Sully calmly explains the situation much like he just ordered a cup of coffe. "Birds hit both engines." "Going to end up in the Hudson." The Controller gets emergency vehicles to the scene, a helicopter, alerts the towers...the surrounding airports...all within 2 minutes. Job well done. I'm not a fan of flying, nor ever dreampt of being a pilot, but I'm going to assume that my cockpit audio couldn't have been broadcasted on MSNBC. It would've been something like "F(*$&%($ BIRDS! BIRDS!! WE ARE GOING TO DIEEEEE!!! MOOOMMMMMYYYYY!" Something like that maybe. Now, just because Captain Sully is the hottest man alive (despite his 80 years young thing) at the moment, I don't want other pilots to get all heroic and start tryinig to land planes on top of mountains, in the desert, whatever...just to get some attention. I'm just putting that out there.

This would have been my worst nightmare coming true if I would have been on that plane. It was truly an amazing and heroic event but still, glad I wasn't on board!
