Today is a sad day. My Mehndi is fading. It's almost gone and I'm struggling to hang on to my Indian-ness. I think I'm going to get the Sharpie out and redo it...would that be weird? They say your only as old as you feel, right? What about your only as Indian as you feel? Well, I feel Indian, so, there you go...whatever...I want to go back to the place where I get to dance around and wear red and gold all day...Here are some of my faves from Jessica Strickland's blog...honestly, it's hard to pick out any of the pics because they are all so JOYOUS.

I am sad too... I've been hanging on to the Mendhi for as long as I can. I put in their wedding CD tonight while I was making dinner to get some of the Indian"ness" back in me!
your Indian-ess is in your blood - it can never fade ... that's coming from a wise married Indian woman (they know all) You will forever and always be INDIAN!
