I don't know how many of you had the chance to watch Dateline last night about the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, but, it was powerful to say the least. Brian Williams narrates through New Orleans and the devastation during the 5 days that followed the levee failure. He had this to say:
I’ve never asked anybody to watch anything in 27 years on television, but this is just so transporting, I hope people will see it,” Williams said in a recent telephone interview. “It just picks you up an drops you in the Convention Center and into the Superdome and right into the center of hell for one week when many of us couldn’t believe we were living in America."
So true. I hope they replay it for those who missed it or didn't really understand the severity of the situation.
