No one is immune to the Apple factor I guess: Per Cynopsis today:
Despite the recession, Apple reported what it's calling its most profitable quarter ever during FY Q4 '09, posting revenue of $9.87 billion and net quarterly profit of $1.67 billion, up 45% y/y. The company sold a record 7.4 million iPhones (+70% over previous quarter), 3.05 million Mac computers and 10.2 million iPods across the globe.
The hubby and I are saving for a Macbook, so, I get the stats, just insane considering everything else going on in the economy. Billions in profit, huh? Justin Long should totally get a raise.

I heard this too! It's crazy though, I lost my job last year but I still got a new MacBook Pro for Christmas and bought someone an iPod last Spring. I guess I've just been brainwashed by Apple and think that I need everything they make.
I have a four and a half year old iBook that's on its death bed so I too am saving for a new laptop (as soon as I stop spending all of my monies on clothes) and can't decide between the options. Let me know which you end up getting. I have no business getting the Air, but Apple just makes it look so tempting. They are so evil.
I know right? totally evil. ugh. I will keep you posted...I'm hoping around the holidays they will have a "good deal"?
