I HATE EXPEDIA

I rarely get angry.

Seriously, I really am a pretty easy going gal.

Mainly because I don't want to waste energy on being mad.

But, I'm LIVID over Expedia.

And, after this next trip I am NEVER using them again.

Back in August of 2011, my husband was going to take me to NYC 

to see Book of Mormon for my 30th Birthday. 

He booked through Expedia.

And, he even bought the trip insurance.

Good thing because a little brat named Hurricane Irene ruined the weekend.

No worries. (Plus who am I to complain about an NYC weekend when people lost homes, etc)

 We had insurance and they let us cancel our flight and get a credit.

Great. So, our good friends moved to Miami 

and we were going to visit them last summer.

Things came up and we had to cancel. No problem. 

They charged us $150 a piece to cancel.

And $150 to RE-BOOK and we had a year to use it.

Your insurance doesn't carry over either. Uh, sure.

So our original $450 tickets...

have now turned into AN ADDITIONAL 300 BUCKS. 

Nearly double the price to use our CREDITS.

Oh, plus the over 5 hours at least I've been on the phone explaining this.

And, listen, I've lost my cool. A lot. And I know it's not that particular persons 

problem but I'm OVER IT.

I'm supposed to be on a flight in the AM...

so I go to check into my flight this eve

and the airline says 

Oh, EXPEDIA didn't give us your ticket number so you aren't on this flight.

WHAT?! My face is burning.

So, we are going on 30 minutes on the phone with Expedia. And, another $150 change fee.

I DON'T THINK SO. Plus, I don't even know if I'm going to be able to get on this flight.

Sorry for the rant. But, I'm a LITTLE STRESSED.

UPDATE: I got on the flight and it only cost me 210 bucks-

Being angry is not a good look but I'll be wearing it for the night.

I don't even want to 'do the math.'
