Katie Couric Today

Katie Couric's show is not doing well.

Bloggers-media type people are saying it's because

'no one likes Katie' and she's 'not one of us.'

Hmmmm. 

I don't know. 

Like, a 'human?'

I'm pretty sure she's a human.

Yesterday, she had a show about clutter -

and looking at her office,

uh, I don't know if she's 'like us' 

but she's messy.

So, maybe that makes you feel better.

Here's what I think about most talk shows.

It's going to take awhile. 

The immediate-success-overnight-sensation doesn't happen that often,

and, if it does, it's usually as rapid a fall as the shoot 

to popularity was.

So, maybe she needs another season or two...

or, maybe the format of daytime talk is just wrong for her?

OR, maybe, like Jonathan Lipniki as the cutey patooti 

boy in Jerry Maguire...or Macauley Culkin in Home Alone...

she will forever be 'The Today Show' sweetheart.

There is no answer for what 'works.'

Oh, except we just don't like her.

That's easy to say huh?
